More than a list of names.
We select the functions that suit the project. Publishing and monetisation options are configured separately; not every option is active in this example.

HOW WE SET IT UP
A useful directory starts with good data and clear rules.
First we decide who can appear in the directory, which details are required and how visitors find a relevant listing. We define categories, locations and filters before adding profiles, so the directory can grow without becoming difficult to use.
01
Shape the listings
We define the profile, fields, categories, locations, images and filters that suit your niche.
02
Set publishing rules
We decide who adds and updates profiles, what an administrator reviews and what appears publicly.
03
Test the search
We check profiles, filters and navigation on mobile and desktop before handover.
You receive the directory structure, agreed initial profiles and the access needed to manage it. Paid listing plans, owner accounts or booking from a profile can be scoped separately when they suit the business model.
THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE
Useful search, beyond a long list of profiles.
A local services directory needs categories and locations people understand, plus filters that actually change the results. A supplier directory may need different criteria: specialism, service area, availability or project type. Before designing the pages, we identify the questions visitors really ask and the fields needed to answer them.
A good profile shows what the business offers, where it works, how to make contact and which information has been verified. Galleries, maps, reviews or a link to booking are added when they help the decision. We define what owners may edit, what administrators approve and how incomplete or outdated profiles are handled.
THE PUBLISHING MODEL
Platform rules come before monetisation.
You can begin with profiles managed by you, then allow listing submissions. If free and paid plans are introduced, we define exactly what each tier includes, publication duration, expiry and payment flow. Featured listings, profile claiming and member access are project options; they are not implied promises of the JAMT demonstration.
A directory grows through reliable data and pages that help people find answers. We prepare category structure, descriptions and links without mass-generating near-identical pages. After launch it needs moderation, updates, backups and form checks. See the base website and public projects for context before describing the platform you need.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A few useful things before we start.
Can I start with just a few businesses?
Yes. Start with a small selection, clear categories and useful profiles. The structure can accommodate more listings later.
Can business owners manage their own profiles?
Yes, when that is part of the agreed flow. We define accounts, permissions, review and editable information before launch.
LET’S START WITH YOUR IDEA
What would you like to build?
Tell me what kinds of listings you want to publish, who manages them and how people should search. We will define the structure and the quote.
